Throughout most countries which count henna as a bridal tradition, hennaing the hands is the most popular. On the day before the wedding, the bride will have her hands and feet hennaed with intricate patterns and symbols. This is a way to pamper the bride; she is not only the center of attention at her own henna party, but she is also exempt from doing any cooking or cleaning as this will destroy the henna designs drying on her hands. Hands and feet are particularly great places to put any henna design because they take the dye so well.
